I am NOT running any workshops in 2020.
Here are the dates for my 2021 classes. These classes always book up quickly and for the time being I’m runing all classes with reduced numbers. This means you’ll get plenty of one to one attention and allow physical distance between participants when necessary.
All these classes run in Cumbria and can be book directly with the venue:
Workshops at Lakes and Fells, Renwick. Near Penrith
Lakes and Fells workshops are held in the small hamlet of Renwich, very close to the M6 and in the beautiful Eden Valley countryside. Your hosts, Lucy and Liam are both passionate makers and suberb hosts. You can find a full list of all the workshops and events they host on their website.
10th March 2021: Learn to Crochet a Storage basket and Make Your own T Shirt Yarn
We start the eyar with a class designed for absolute beginners (but, if you are self taught and would like to come along and improve on your skills then you’ll be very welcome to join us). I’ll show you how to make your own T Shirt yarn and how to crochet a small storage basket by crocheting in rounds. Everything you need is provided and you’ll leave with a kit and patterns so you can continue to crochet at home.
19th May 2021: Beginners / Improvers Day
Another day for beginners / improvers. This time we’ll cover working back and forth and I’ll introduce you to some basic stitches. Everything you need is included in the price and you’ll leave with a kit so you can make some simple crochet accessories at home.
18th and 19th September: Crochet Weekender
A whole weekend of indulgent crochet. This is a class for complete begnners. We’ll cover all the skills in my beginners / improvers days and also add in some extra tips and tricks to get you started with crocheting patterns and making items for you and your home. Everything you need is included in the booking fee (accommodation is available as an added extra, or enquire about local pubs and B&B accommodation). I am really looking forward to teaching this one and I’ve got lots of indulgent treats and surprises lined up for you all!
I use standard UK crochet abbreviations, you can find a full list of UK terms here;
I rarely make step by step photos of my designs as you’ll find plenty of step by step instructions in my books. Nor do I make crochet videos – there are already some fantastic ones online.
