On 2nd February, I'll be hosting an intermediate crochet workshop at @ditzyrosemakes . We'll be learning to follow a pattern, increase and decrease while crocheting a heart. The best post of the year is always seed catalogues! Making lists of what grew well (leeks and kale), what failed (potatoes - blight!) and what I would love to plant next year ( as always the wish list exceeds the seed budget!!!). I don't make resolutions, but I have promised myself that 2019 will be filled with laughter, friendship and gardening every day! A midwinter posy. In January, I promised myself that every day I would pick a garden posy. This, picked on 27th December is my favourite. In this quiet time between Christmas and New Year I like to potter in the kitchen and the garden. For the first time in years I didn't cast on a jumper on boxing day, in fact I have hardly picked up my needles or a hook. I have played (& lost) board games, read books, walked aimlessly, baked, weeded, plucked spindly leeks and lush kale from the veg patch; fried up left overs for tea, baked cakes, spent hours watching the birds and it has been a lovely, lovely few days!
