Pretty Patience Wrap

crochet_17oct13-246_mediumI have a new pattern for sale. The Pretty Patience Wrap first appeared in print in 2013 (in the Complete Knitting Collection Volume 1), but it’s still a firm favourite. I particularly love the photography (credit: Britt Spring) and the styling (credit: Claire Montgomerie)  which really do this simple knit justice.  It’s a fairly simple pattern repeat and the yarn combination is beautifully soft. It was originally designed to be knitted with two strands of yarn held together (one Kidsilk Haze, One Fine Lace – both by Rowan), but it works equally well in a 4 ply (although I would go down a couple of needle sizes). The sweet little rosette flower pattern is also included. I have always loved this pattern, it looks so elegant as a scarf or a wrap. The stitch multiple is included, so if you’re feeling adventurous you can alter the size to make it wider and longer. It would make the perfect accessory for spring and you can even sew both ends together and make a cowl!
